From experience, you should never assume that the last way you made travel plans will automatically work out to be the best way next time.
As an example, I am making what I class as a fairly routine one-week trip to the Algarve shortly, and my 'go-to' method for such a simple trip would be to arrange everything myself. Book my own flights, transfers, and hotel accommodation.
I am experienced enough to do this both quickly and simply.
Is it the best way? Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.
For this trip, I compared doing it my way with the same offering via Jet2Holidays.
Guess what, and to my genuine surprise, Jet2Holidays were over £50 cheaper on the total cost, as well as offering all the arrangements through one simple app, rather than navigating through at least 3 apps when doing it yourself. Don't be fooled by seemingly attractive deals - always read the full agreement and understand what kind of restrictions you'd be subject to if you make the purchase.
