After almost 8 weeks in New Zealand it was now time to make my way to a place that has been on my bucket list for many years.
Singapore was my next destination and after a 10 hour flight with Air New Zealand, I landed at one of the most efficient airports in the world and within an hour, courtesy of my driver Eric, I am relaxing in my hotel bedroom in the centre of downtown Singapore.
The first thing that really struck me about Singapore is the humidity. It almost strangles you during the day, making breathing difficulty and walking fast is a definite no-no! Plenty of water is needed.
The first day I got through three T-shirts alone just walking around the city as me and humidity generate far too much perspiration.
Singapore is a fascinating city and I wish I could have seen more of it but the humidity meant that I was unable to do quite a few things that I'd originally planned. It wasn't so much the temperature being in their mid-30s but the humidity just was overpowering. Even in the evening it was warm and humid but more bearable.
I saw many places and did as much as I can in the time I was there and I have recorded these two videos as well as a few photographs below.
After a few days it was time to board my next flight at the amazing Changi airport, and 15 hours later I was back in Manchester, courtesy of the super-efficient Singapore airlines flight.
This is the end of my current long distance travelling and for the next few months I will be doing is some more regular stuff in the UK so don't forget to keep in touch with the blog.

I used to go there regularly for work, and I can endorse your comments regarding the humidity. You should try it in a lightweight suit complete with a collar and tie.
