I am not going to go into detail about what you can do at Changi Airport as its been well covered by so many people, just Google it if that's what you want to learn.
However, after knocking the poor standards at airports in Manchester, Houston and Auckland in an earlier post, its only fair to praise an airport when its justified.
Quite simply, Singapore Changi Airport is the most efficient and most pleasant airport I have ever been in or travelled through.
Arrival from NZ was so quick and efficient, within an hour of my arrival in Singapore I had passed through immigration, been picked up and was in my hotel.
Ditto on departure, check-in of my hold baggage was all electronic but it worked really well, plenty of staff were on hand to assist and all were smiling and more than willing to help.

On departure day, I had checked out of my hotel at midday but my flight wasn't til 2am. After eight hours out in the humidity of Singapore, I made my way to the airport. After check in, I went up to the Ambassador Transit Hotel and Lounge in Terminal 3 and booked in for a shower for $20. A full private shower area (at least 20 individual shower rooms) with towels and smellies provided, it allowed me to change all my clothes and be fresh for my onward journey. Big thumbs up....absolutely a life saver as I didn't fancy a 13 hour flight in my somewhat bedraggled day clothes.

In the airport, plenty of shops etc but there were plenty of bars and I watched the Man U v Nottingham Forest game live in Harry's Bar, whilst eating....no queues and an all-round great experience when compared to Manchester T2!

Unlike all the other airports, Changi has individual security check-in areas for each flight so no fighting the masses when trying to get past security, only the people on your flight.
Again another big thumbs up!
So compliments when compliments due and a big recommendation.
